Get in touch
The best way to reach me is by email at hello@example.com. I read every message and try to reply within a week or two. Slower in summer, when I am usually traveling.
What I respond to
Yes, I read your essay, and yes I might write back. Especially if you tell me about a place I have never been, a book I should read, a small thing you noticed on a walk. Stories travel best.
Questions about places I have written about. If I have visited it, I will try to give you a useful answer. If I have not, I will tell you that and point you toward someone who has.
Corrections. If I got something wrong — a name, a date, a translation, a price — please tell me. I would rather fix it than keep being wrong.
What I do not respond to
Press releases. I do not cover restaurants, hotels, or destinations in exchange for hospitality or comp.
SEO outreach. Guest post offers, link exchanges, “I noticed your article about Lisbon and thought…” — these go straight to the trash.
Brand partnerships. This is not that kind of site.
I am polite about saying no, but I do say no, and I do not negotiate.
For media and speaking inquiries
If you are working on a piece and want to ask me something for it, email is fine. I have done interviews before and am happy to consider it. Tell me what the piece is about, what publication it is for, and what you would want from me.
A note on social media
I do not have public social media accounts for this site. There is no Instagram, no Twitter, no TikTok. I write here because writing here is the form of the work; if I had time for social media, I would spend it writing instead. This is a choice, not a deficit.
If you want to share something I have written, the best way is to send the link directly to one person you think would like it. That is the only kind of distribution I care about.
Reach me by post
If you want to send a letter (and you should, occasionally, if you can):
Wandermark PO Box [your PO box] Jaipur, Rajasthan India
I will write back. Eventually.
